Building
Regulations control building works in England and Wales. These cover
a wide range of construction work, for example site preparation,
ventilation, drainage and glazing. There are even regulations designed
to conserve fuel and power within buildings.
All this may seem confusing, but rest assured, we at A.J. Contracts will be fully
aware of the appropriate regulations relevant to your project and will draw up
suitable building plans to place before your Local Authority for approval.
Planning
Permission is usually required if you intend to materially alter the
style and structure of your home such as by way of an extension, loft
conversion, or by dividing part of your house for use as a separate
dwelling. There are also other permissions that are required the most
common being for Listed Buildings, proposals in Conservation areas,
sites with Tree Preservation Orders etc.
We
provide an extensive architectural plans drawing service for all types
of extensions, garages, loft conversions and conservatories.
Our
drawings will be detailed enough to secure Local Authority Planning
and Building Regulation approvals and for the site builders to work
from when work commences.. If required we can also supply a full set
of printed specification notes and a scope of works.
A.J.
Contracts will make all the relevant applications and representations
for Planning on your behalf. If the Local Authority requires the proposal
to be revised then we will amend our drawings
and re-submit on your behalf at no extra cost.
